Felisa Rosa Rogers began writing professionally in 1999, shortly before graduating from The Evergreen State College, where she studied history and narrative nonfiction. She has worked as a bilingual copywriter, a fashion copywriter, a writing teacher, a journalist, an executive editor, and a content developer for textbooks and e-learning curricula.
As a writer, her body of work includes news stories, personal essays, travel guides, food writing, booze writing, cannabis writing, and environmental journalism, as well as chapters for high school social studies textbooks. Her essays have been featured in several language arts textbooks, including They Say/ I Say and Writing Situations.
When not in Mexico, Felisa Rogers lives in the Oregon Coast Range. She enjoys foraging, cooking, watching trashy television, and reading dry historical tomes.
Volunteer Work
During her years in Seattle, Rogers volunteered as an editor and proofreader for Project 826 Seattle. She currently sits on the board of directors of The Tenacatita Fund, which supports community projects in rural Mexico.
